 Volvo Cars of North America has again increased the coverage of its Volvo Service Advantage Program. The program now guarantees to the original purchaser of each genuine Volvo replacement part that it will be free from defects in material or workmanship when the part was purchased from and installed by an authorized Volvo dealership. 

The guarantee is not transferable.

The guarantee does not apply to accessories or to those parts that, through normal service and maintenance requirements, must be replaced due to wear and tear. These parts include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Batteries, including those for the remote key-less entry
  • Belts
  • Brake Pads
  • Filters
  • Fuses
  • Rotors
  • Wiper Blades
  • Timing Belts
  • Spark Plugs
  • Clutch Lining
  • Floor Mats
  • Upholstery / Rugs
  • Tires (Tire manufacturer warranty applies)

Q. When was the Volvo Service Advantage Program expanded to include the Volvo Lifetime Parts and Labor Warranty?
A. June 8, 2015.

Q. What if a genuine Volvo replacement part that was purchased under the program is discontinued?
A. Volvo Cars of North America will assist Volvo of Wellesley in locating an aftermarket alternative. The alternative part will be paid for under the Volvo replacement part lifetime warranty. If necessary subsequent replacement of the aftermarket part will be administered solely by the aftermarket source and not Volvo Cars of North America.

Q. What if a part that is covered under the Volvo Service Advantage Program fails and, in so doing, causes another part to fail that is NOT covered by the program?
A. Both the part that is not normally covered by the program will be replaced under the program when its failure was caused by the failure of a part that is covered under the program. For example, an alternator fails under the provisions of the program and the battery failed as a result of the alternator's failure. The battery will be covered by the program.

Q. What if a part that is NOT normally covered under the program fails and, in so doing, causes another part that is normally covered by the program to fail?
A. The part that is normally covered by the program will not be covered because its failure was caused by the failure of a part that it NOT normally part of the program.

Q. What if a genuine Volvo replacement part that is covered by the Volvo Service Advantage Warranty fails when I am not near Volvo of Wellesley where I purchased the part?
A. Any authorized Volvo dealership in the United States can replace parts covered under the program when presented with with proof of purchase and installation by Volvo of Wellesley.
